| EGS: SC2L Announces it's first season! | | Tue Dec 13, 2011 3:18 am by EGS|KiLLiN | Elite Gaming Series is proud to announce our grand opening with Season 1 of our Starcraft 2 league - EGS: SC2L (Starcraft 2 League)!!! SC2L is aimed to be a solo league that promotes competitive gaming amongst players in the e-sports community.
As a quick introduction, I am a former Head admin of FFA Masters League for 3 seasons and was former Manager of iNti/DCo/pC gaming team in Warcraft 3 TFT in which we were successful in the semi-pro circuit. I have seen much success in management and running teams and leagues, and I will like to continue that by starting here and enhancing such an infant, yet ecstatic Starcraft 2 community.
League matches will be played on the North American server, however we will allow any player to participate regardless of their nationality. The matches MUST be played on the North American server and none other since players will unable to switch servers.
As this is season 1 of the league, the format of the qualifiers will be announced once registration for the league has been completed. The format of the league will be 4 groups of 4 players, each player will play everyone in their group over 2 weeks. Top 2 players will be advancing to playoffs. We will not be starting off with any prizes, however we will be looking for sponsors exclusively to enhance the experience and make the league as competitive as possible. We encourage as many teams to participate!!
